Pooh Bears

Ages 2.9 Years to 3.5 Years 

The Pooh Bear class is where children really learn to be friends with one another through playing in small groups or one-on-one.  Socialization and building friendships are important and key areas of growth and development at this stage.  The dramatic play area is used to encourage role playing and creative expression and imagination.  This class also provides activities that target cognitive development, such as math and science learning stations. 

Project time and table activities are used to promote small eye-hand coordination and stimulate their tactile senses and muscle control.  Children learn to follow instructions and rules and to carry out self-care routines with minimal promptings from teachers.  If the child is not yet potty trained, then s/he will work on mastering this milestone in the Pooh Bear class.
